Qarar in the browser, showing the sample meeting “مثال: مراجعة إطلاق خدمة الدفع في الرياض”: its three decisions in Modern Standard Arabic beside the verbatim dialect transcript.
The recap email Qarar sends for the same meeting: the summary, then the decisions and tasks.
Example: an illustrative meeting we wrote, in a demo account, as Qarar shows it and as its recap email arrives. Not a real recording; the names are invented.

Every note leads back to its source.

Select a timestamp to read the line it came from, in the dialect it was said.

The words stay in Egyptian Arabic, and the English ones stay in Latin script. The notes are in Modern Standard Arabic, each tied to the line it came from. Nobody named the other two speakers, so Qarar leaves them unnamed.

Sample source and limitations

The real test is your own recording.

From your recording to notes you check yourself, in three steps. The free plan includes full notes for 4 meetings a month.

  1. Sign in with a code sent to your email. That creates your free account, with no password.
  2. Choose the meeting’s file or record it, and confirm that everyone heard in it agreed to be recorded. Qarar transcribes it, then writes the notes, and the page shows each stage.
  3. Review the transcript in dialect and fix any names, then check each decision and task against its timestamp before you share them.

Start from a recording you have, or record one.

Your choice is kept after you sign in.

Have a recording?

Upload it from Windows, a Mac or your phone, or export it from Zoom, Teams or Meet first. Qarar takes audio and video files such as M4A, MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV and WebM, or WhatsApp voice notes.

Up to 90 minutes a meeting on Free and 4 hours on paid plans, and up to 512 MB a file.

Need to record?

  • Chrome or Edge on a computer: the call’s audio from the tab it runs in, with your microphone.
  • Safari: the room through your microphone only, for an in-person meeting or a call on speaker.
  • A Mac with macOS 14.4 or later: the optional Qarar app records the meeting audio and your microphone from the menu bar.
  • A phone: record with your phone’s recorder app, then upload the file.

If your browser can’t record, Qarar says so and you can upload a file instead. No bot joins the meeting.

Your meeting on Mac. Your next steps in Qarar.

Record meeting audio and your microphone from the menu bar, then upload to Qarar for a transcript, summary, decisions, and tasks.

Requires macOS 14.4 or later. Optional: uploading and recording in the browser work without it.

Open the ZIP and move Qarar to Applications. Sign in to get started. Recordings upload to Qarar for transcription and notes. Let participants know before recording. How we handle your recordings

What happens to your recording.

Where it goes, who can use it, and when it is deleted.

  • It is processed in the cloud by Qarar’s providers, not on your device.
  • Qarar does not train models on it, and the AI providers that write the notes have committed not to.
  • The audio is deleted 30 days after the transcript is ready, unless you choose another period in Settings.
  • The transcript and notes stay until you delete the meeting.
  • It is stored in eastern North America, with no Middle East or EU data residency.
  • Everyone heard in it must agree to be recorded; you confirm that before each upload.

Before you upload.

What stays in dialect, who receives the recording, and how accurate it is.

Does Qarar keep the dialect and English words?

Qarar is built for Egyptian, Levantine, Gulf and other dialects, and for meetings that mix Arabic with English. Accuracy depends on the recording, so check important names and numbers.

How can I check where a note came from?

The summary, decisions and action items are in Modern Standard Arabic, quotes stay in the speaker’s dialect, and the full transcript stays verbatim. Select a note’s timestamp to hear the line it came from.

Do I need a bot or an app to record?

No bot joins the meeting. Upload a file from Zoom, Teams, Meet or your phone, or record in the browser: a call’s audio in Chrome or Edge on a computer, or the room with your microphone in Safari.

Who receives the recording and transcript?

You confirm participants’ consent before each upload. Kalemio transcribes the audio, and the meeting text, without the audio, goes to an AI model through OpenRouter to write the notes. Neither Qarar nor Kalemio trains on your recordings, and you choose how long the audio is kept, from 7 to 365 days. What each provider receives

How accurate are the transcript and notes?

On 2.06 hours of single-speaker Levantine video, Qarar’s word error rate was 4.6% once dialect spellings are allowed. Those were the easiest two hours of our set, so don’t quote the figure without its limits. Gulf and Egyptian are being measured. Results and method
