Last updated 22 September 2026. Qarar is a service of Kalemio. This page explains what happens to the meetings you upload or record.

What we store

Your account email; each meeting’s title, attendee names and date; its audio; and the transcripts Qarar makes and the edits you save.

Consent

Before every upload or recording you confirm that everyone in it agreed to be recorded and transcribed. Do not use Qarar for a conversation where that is not true.

Who processes it

Audio is transcribed by Kalemio’s own speech recognition. Files are stored with Cloudflare.

Meeting notes and summaries are written by a language model that Qarar reaches through OpenRouter on its contributor tier. On that tier the model provider may keep the transcript text sent to it and use it to improve its models. Qarar itself never trains models on your audio or transcripts. You can turn AI notes off for any meeting when you upload or record it; its transcript is then never sent to the notes model.

How long we keep it

Audio is deleted automatically after the period you choose in Settings: 7, 30 (the default), 90 or 365 days after the transcript is ready. A new setting applies to existing meetings too. Transcripts and notes stay until you delete the meeting. Deleting a meeting removes its audio, transcripts and notes.
